Wire star Lance Reddick died at the age of 60, just days after failing to premiere in New York.
Reddick, who played Cedric Daniels on hit TV series, is understood to have died of natural causes, law enforcement officials say TMZ.
Paying tribute to the “incredibly talented” actor after his body was found at his Studio City, Calif. home at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Just yesterday, he uploaded a shot of himself curled up with his three dogs at home in an Instagram post about National Puppy Day.
Reddick appeared as the concierge Sharon during the promotional tour for the franchise John Wick.

He was scheduled to attend the premiere of Wick 4 with co-star Keanu Reeves on Wednesday night, but was unable to attend. Reddick did not provide an explanation for his absence.
He was also scheduled to appear on Kelly Clarkson’s show next week.

Reddick will be best remembered for his role as Daniels on the hit HBO show The Wire.
However, he also enjoyed blockbuster movie roles, including Godzilla vs. Kong and Angel fell.
And he voiced Commander Zavala in the Destiny video game.
Fellow stars took to Twitter to pay tribute to the “incredibly talented” actor.
“A man of great strength and grace,” said Wendell Pierce, who co-starred on The Wire.
“He is as talented a musician as he is an actor.
“The unimaginable suffering of his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You left your mark here. RIP’
Guardians of the Galaxy actor James Gunn said, “Lance Reddick was an incredibly nice guy and an incredibly talented actor.
“This is heartbreaking. Love to all his family, friends and collaborators.”
Classic role: Reddick played Cedric Daniels on HBO’s hit drama The Wire.
He also made recurring appearances on the hit TV shows Fringe, Oz, Bosch and Lost.
The son of Dorothy Gee and Solomon Reddick, Lance was born in Baltimore, Maryland and attended Friends School, a private Quaker school in Baltimore.
He continued to study music at the Peabody Preparatory Institute before moving into acting.
In the early ’90s, Reddick attended the Yale School of Drama and eventually graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1994.
Despite high-profile roles on television shows such as The Wire, Reddick has managed to keep his personal life out of the spotlight.
He left his wife of more than 20 years, Stephanie Reddick, and it is not clear if the couple had any children.
