Was this the fifth 9/11 plane? United 23 crew reveal their 767 was raided and grounded by FBI
A United Airlines captain scheduled to take off from JFK Airport in New York this morning 9/11 He says he believes his plane was intended to be the fifth aircraft in the terrorist plot.
Tom Manero sat on the tarmac in the cockpit of United Flight 23 at 9:00 a.m., waiting for takeoff.
Mannero later learned that the cutter had been spotted on a plane parked at the next gate. He believes ground personnel who were supporting terrorists got the wrong plane and thwarted the attack attempt..
“Someone is likely plotting to use our planes as weapons of mass destruction,” he said. TMZ Survey: 9/11: Fifth Plane, which Airs Mondays at 9:00 PM ET on Fox.
United 23 did not participate 9/11 Commission official report, and there were no confirmed arrests of those on board. U.S. officials have not commented on long-standing speculation that the flight may be the fifth plane planned to attack.

Four planes crashed that morning.
Taking off from Boston bound for Los Angeles, American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 am.
United Airlines Flight 175 also left Boston for LA 15 minutes after the AA flight. It hit the South Tower of the WTC at 9:03 am.
At this point United 23 was on the tarmac and was told to return to the gate.
At 9:37 a.m., American Airlines Flight 77 took off from Washington, DC and crashed into the Pentagon.
And finally, at 10:02 am, United Airlines Flight 93, taking off from Newark for San Francisco, was shot down in a field in Pennsylvania. Analysts now believe the hijackers were targeting the White He House or the Capitol.
United 23 flight attendant Sandy Thorgren told the documentary:
After returning to the gate, Thorgren said passengers disembarked and the crew was questioned by the FBI.
In a preview clip of the documentary obtained by DailyMail.com, she said, “They wanted to bring us in to show them the people lining up for Port Authority.”
“They put us all in a van, a windowless van. The gates were locked and guarded by armored forces with machine guns or whatever rifles they were using.
“We were shown to this room with double-glazed windows that let you see in but not out.
“And they asked us if we could identify the people behind that window.”
The documentary reported that four passengers traveling in first class were acting suspiciously, but no one was arrested.
Mannero later said he learned the cutter had been spotted on a plane parked next to him and suspected the hijack team had been assisted on the ground.
“The chief pilot reported to me that he had found two box cutters in the first class seat pocket of the next plane.
The plane’s flight attendant, Sandy Thorgren, said she was convinced the plane was meant to be hijacked on 9/11.

“Even if someone was working with them on the ground, they simply made a mistake and put the cutter on the wrong plane.
“There are people who clean the planes, people who load the planes with food, people who have access to the planes.
“If someone cooperated with the group, they could have been put in there. Getting on a plane like that isn’t the hardest thing in the world.
“This is the only thing that makes me think it is quite possible that someone is plotting to use our planes as weapons of mass destruction.”
Nineteen hijackers were on board four planes and died in the attack.
