Scottish Sands International Film Festival in St Andrews sets second edition with Joe Russo Talk and Mystery AGBO debut
Exclusive: of Sands: St Andrews International Film FestivalHeroes of the North of Scotland, set the line-up for the second edition, which takes place April 14-16.
Over three days, the festival will feature a series of official screenings and industry talks by filmmakers, directors and other artists. Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame, Grayman), returning to St Andrews after supporting the first edition in 2022.
Russo brings with him what the festival calls an “early sneak peek at a hotly anticipated project.” Agbo production costume. The title of the photo will not be revealed until the screening begins.
The festival set Russo as the host for public discussion on gaming and modern storytelling, while Epic Games Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard fortnite.
Russo’s AGBO is one of Sands’ backers, along with major media sponsors Screen Scotland and Deadline.
Veteran casting director Margaery Simkin will be visiting St Andrews to speak about her long career. Simkin’s credits include James Cameron’s credits. Avatar (2009) and Avatar: Path of Water (2022), Little Shop of Horrors (1986) etc. top gun (1986).
The list of films scheduled to be screened as part of the program includes topical titles such as the 2023 Berlin war drama klondike By Maryna Er Gorbach, Ukraine’s choice for the 2023 International Feature Film Oscar race.2022 Sundance documentary to critical acclaim calendar girls will be screened as part of the festival.
