In their last eight games in the Eredivisie, the Ghanaian has scored six goals and provided two assists to keep Ajax within three points of league leaders Feyenoord.

The Ghanaian, who felt Everton was a good move at the time, is now happy that the transfer did not materialize.
“I was disappointed by the fact that Ajax blocked a move to Everton last summer.
“But the moment the transfer window closed, my focus went back to Ajax. The only reason I wanted to quit before that was for a backup role.
I solved that problem myself. Everton are not doing well in the Premier League. Ajax are in contention for the title and I am a permanent fixture under John Haitinga.
“I have a strong faith in God and he made a positive decision not to allow the transfer.”
