Mark Snyde doesn’t mind Salford devastated by injury – quality remains the same

MARC Sneyd isn’t too annoyed to be standing next to him in a Salford shirt.

Consider last week when they were down to just 17 players and scored 60 points at Hull FC.

And the Red Devils halfback wants to make it another scary day for a bottomless Wakefield who has not scored a point in the last three games.

Boss Paul Lawrie has a welcome choice headache today to bring back Danny Addy after eight months out with a torn Achilles tendon.

But Sneyd believes small things are proving to be beautiful, saying:

“It’s disappointing when you get injured, but the players who come here are very well trained and very highly skilled people come to do the work.

“We don’t need to change anything. This is a very positive thing.

“We put in the hard work in Hull and turned in that performance and the proof is there.

“Anyone who comes in will do the job and will know exactly how we play. And you really don’t have to.

“It has happened before and unfortunately it will happen again. Injuries are out of our control.

Salford are keen to perform at home after two wins this season. Wakefield is desperate.

But Snade disagrees with Mark Applegarth’s men scoring just 24 points in four games. He knows the potential is there because he’s focused on the 14 they conceded last Saturday, rather than the 60 they scored.

He added: “I don’t think I’ve ever been in that situation, but I can imagine it’s not a very nice place.

“Looking back, you can see the positives through the tries they scored. They couldn’t do it.

“They will come to us desperately, but we don’t take it for granted. We see it as the big game. There are talents and players who can use
