Lineker stepped out of his home in South London this morning, donning a dark suit and charcoal shirt, grabbing a coat and bag and getting into his car.
Asked by LaLiga Sports TV last night about his week, the former England striker said: nothing is happening You could say it’s been an interesting week, but I’m still here.
“It was interesting and very satisfying. I had an amazing amount of support from my friends and colleagues, and it was actually pretty amazing.

He will be live on the BBC Saturday afternoon, including analysis from Alan Shearer and Micah Richards, while Mark Chapman will host a Match of the Day highlight show later Saturday night.
Many of Lineker’s BBC Sports colleagues went out in “solidarity” last weekend, with the highlight show being significantly shorter than usual and airing without presentation or commentary.
MOTD aired last Saturday for just 20 minutes, with no commentary or analysis from the presenters, and Sunday’s edition aired in a similar format for just 15 minutes.
BBC Director Tim Davey said in a statement that it had asked for an independent review of its social media guidelines, particularly for freelancers.
Mr Davy apologized for admitting “it has been a difficult time for staff, contributors, presenters and, most importantly, the audience”, and said the BBC’s commitment to freedom of expression and fairness “is difficult to balance.” It is a difficult act,” he said.
“We are aware of the potential confusion caused by the gray area of the BBC’s social media guidance introduced in 2020. We hope to resolve the issue and bring sports content back to the air.
