The 21-year-old Uruguayan is again impressive and could be given more chances with Alejandro Garnacho joining the injured list.
Ten Hag has warned Peristri that he must seize every opportunity to carve out a future for himself at Old Trafford.
“You have to deserve it and you have to collect it yourself,” Dutch said.
“We help him with his culture, the way he plays, the coaches work hard for them. But the players have to take their chances. It has to be worth the chance.
“He has the ability to do it, as do other players who have come out of their youth like Garnacho and Coby Mainu. , must contribute to the team.
“Manchester United is not a place where you have the patience to try once in 10 games. You have to perform.”
