Donald Trump makes comeback with first post on Facebook in two years
donald trump Posted on Facebook for the first time since 2021 to promote the new presidential campaign. Trump shared a photo of him on stage after his victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016. He captioned the post with the simple phrase, “I’m back.”
Trump was suspended from the podium shortly after the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021.
Facebook’s parent company Meta announced a moratorium on the ban in January.
In a statement confirming that Trump’s profile will be allowed back online, they said:
“Under normal circumstances, the public should be able to hear from the former president of the United States and his re-running candidates for office on our platform.

“Now that the suspension period has passed, the question is not whether you choose to reinstate Trump’s account, but rather the unusual circumstances that would warrant extending the suspension beyond the original two years.” It’s about whether the situation remains.”
They added, “We know that any decision we make on this issue will be heavily criticized.
“Reasonable people would disagree on whether it was the right decision.
“But a decision had to be made and we tried to do the best we could in a way that was consistent with our values and the process we had established according to the guidance of our oversight board.”

Trump’s return to social media platforms comes as New York law enforcement prepares security for a possible indictment of Trump in the coming weeks.former president
There was no official announcement about the grand jury’s secret work timeframe, including a potential vote on whether to indict the former president.
The four law enforcement officers, who are not authorized to speak publicly and spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity, said authorities were preparing for possible charges.
They described the conversation as provisional, considering the safety, planning and practicality of a potential court appearance by the former president.
